iOS App Review: Blogger

This will be the first time I'll be blogging on a mobile device -- my iPod Touch. Google has recently released their product for blogging Blogger. It took a while for them to release this but it's better late than never.

Blogger is simple and very easy to use. You must have a Blogger account to fully utilize the service. It has a very clean UI with just three selections found at the bottom for writing posts, viewing your blog and changing settings. With it's simplicity also comes its shortcomings. First, Blogger is locked to portrait orientation and second, I cannot preview my post before publishing. I hope Google releases an update to enable landscape orientation and preview before publishing. It's just easier to type in landscape and I have a better hold of my device. Preview also allows you to view your content first before posting. Aside from writing, Blogger also allows attaching of pictures to your posts. Maybe Google can also update how it attaches pictures to your content -- allow rearranging of the items.

For those who just love blogging and have a Blogger account this application is recommended even with it's shortcomings. Check out Blogger in iTunes and download it for free.
