I was actually looking for a Steve Jobs, Apple-related and Michael Moore book when I came across this Filipino book from Lourd de Veyra. I have my small collection of Filipino books which include Youngblood (compilation of essays from it's daily column in The Inquirer), Public Lives by Randy David and Tikman ang Langit (collection of short stories about the Eraserheads).

| Reading the word of the Lourd |
Here's what I have learned so far about the book and the author.
- Full name of the author is Lourd Ernest Hanopol de Veyra.
- Lourd is a 4-time Palanca Award winning poet, essayist and vocalist of Radioactive Sago Project.
- The book is a collection of essays from Lourd's blog in Spot.ph. I also found another blog from him too.
- The title of the book was Lourd's first blogpost in Spot.ph. It was part of a suicide note from Starlet Stella Estrada.
My first impression of the book? It's witty, humorous and well written. Do not take it lightly as it reflects the current events in the Philippine society. To quote one of his readers and also placed at the back of the book -- "Tongue in a, Lourd, pakasal na tayo."
I'll have a fun and great time reading this. The book is highly recommended. Let's support our Filipino writers.
