iPhone 4S to be available in the Philippines on December 16

Finally, the latest iPhone iteration will be available here in the country on December 16. Joining Globe Telecom in this endeavor is Smart Communications. There are now two carriers available here in the country. And since Smart now owns Sun Cellular, it may also be available on the latter soon. Here are the official teasers from the giant networks. What's great here is that there will be healthy competition in the market preventing a monopoly from Globe which has been the official carrier of the iPhone since it's inception in 2007. Healthy competition means pricing may drop a little. And since there are unlocked units also of the iPhone 4S, local Apple resellers might join the fray this month in selling the latest iPhone model. It's a win-win situation for iPhone consumers.
