| The official logo for my blog |
You may have noticed a lot of changes on my blog the past few days. I have changed to two templates after staying a year on Blogger's template. I have also purchased a domain name for my blog and sticking to My Macintosh and Me was the final choice for me. This blogging all started on the Mac I purchased back in 2010 and what began as a hobby transformed into a passion for writing about the stuffs I do and relevant to my Mac. And today, I'll be launching yet another first, an official logo for my blog. I was inspired to create a logo for my blog after attending Nuffnang's Blogopolis back in November. This logo will serve as my blog's brand. Honestly, the idea struck me today so I created it using Art Text 2 on my Mac. Here's an explanation to the logo I have created.
First would be the rounded edges of a square which is an inspiration to Apple's iconic applications in their iOS devices. Second would be the 3 M's which correspond to the name of my blog My Macintosh and Me. And lastly, a pencil which I consider a symbol for writing. I was actually looking for a laptop but the Art Text 2 application I'm using on my Mac is just a lite version so the pencil will do. Now for the color, I actually just wanted it to be a simple black and white combination. The pencil was red for it to stand out among the rest. Then at the bottom of the logo, I placed the URL for my blog -- www.mymacintoshandme.com. It turned out really great actually and I was surprised it blended well to the template of my blog, special mention to SoraTemplates for their awesome collection of templates.
So here you go, its been more than a year already writing on this blog and I'm planning to move on to the next level. I hope to reach to as many readers as I can with the stuffs I do and related to my Mac.
Enjoy reading and continue visiting my blog!
