Playing Real Racing 3 on my iPad mini

I spent a couple of days playing Real Racing 3 on my iPad mini, I was able to download the game last Friday. There have been a lot of reviews about the game already so I won't deal deeper into that. I'll just share my personal experience playing the game, what I like about it and don't.

Likes:
- Awesome graphics! The developers really did a great job in this department. There is real attention to detail like what is shown on reflections, side/rear view mirrors, scenery, transitions and of course on the cars.
- The controls are great. I love the driver assists in this game. I think this was the first time I have used such. I can personally say that Real Racing 3 is the first racing game I played that have implemented this. Basically, you don't have to worry about breaking on corners so you just have to focus on steering your car, a really nice touch on this. You still have the option to change this but I don't see any problems having it enabled. I have finished majority of the circuits with trophies.
- The game is free! This is the first time in the Real Racing series that the game went free but there are in-app purchases if you want some conveniences.

I have read negative reviews about the game because of this. This stops the continuity of the game but you can speed it up with gold coins. Once you're out of gold coins though, you have to earn them by leveling up. I still love the game even with the waiting time. You won't notice this if you have a couple of cars already. I already have four cars and I can jump to other race circuits if I have to wait for the car repair or upgrade to finish.

I totally love the category of racing games in the App Store, it's my favorite. The experience of playing the game in an iOS device is amazing. Real Racing 3 sticks to the same gaming experience it had with this series but puts it up a notch with the latest release. The in-app purchases should not prevent you from downloading this game and trying it out because it's preventable with good strategy and of course driving.
