I was browsing iTunes when I noticed a dedicated page showing A Decade of iTunes. On Sunday, April 28, iTunes will turn 10 years old. The page shows key milestones since the inception of iTunes back in 2003, when the service only has 200,000 songs to sell at 99 cents each. For 2013, iTunes together with the App Store have set record milestones for Apple. In January, the App Store hit the 40 billion download mark and in February, the iTunes Store set a new record of 25 billion songs sold. It has been great for iTunes and I'm hoping that more content will be added to it. I wonder if there will be some freebies or contest of sort on Sunday. We'll soon find out if Apple has something in store for us. For now, here are some snapshots of iTunes on my iPad mini with some of its milestones.
