Yesterday, Feedly posted an article on its site mentioning that its cloud service is already available for all users. I read about Feedly when looking for an alternative to Google Reader. Google Reader will be shutting down on July 1st. I've been a great fan of the service because of its ability to save RSS articles of sites that I subscribe to. It's imminent demise will be a big problem for me and I have to look for an alternative. Feedly is a great alternative, as mentioned by reviews, because it has a website and mobile applications, very fitting to my needs. Good thing Feedly took it to the next level by being independent from Google Reader. Aside from that, Feedly created an API that can be used by other RSS reader applications one of which I constantly use -- Newsify (free).
I really love Newsify because its the first nice application I used that can save articles for offline reading. The application also has the ability to cache images for offline viewing. Aside from these, the application also has the ability to share articles on Evernote, Facebook, Google+, Tumblr, Twitter and many more. Now, Newsify has released a major update to the application with the integration to the Feedly API. You don't have to worry anymore if Google Reader shuts down. Newsify is a free application and universal that you can use on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Be sure to check this out!
