It was really a surprise when I was tagged in a Facebook post yesterday mentioning that Clash of Clans is finally available on Android. It was back in August when I read from TUAW that Supercell, the developer of the game, is planning to port its famous game to Android. Aside from increasing its reach, its also practical to increase revenue for the game. As Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen mentioned in his interview with the Financial Times, "You can't be global without being in Asia, and you can't be big in Asia without being on Android." As TUAW mentioned also on its article, "By spreading its wares to Android, the company could gain a foothold in regions where Apple's mobile devices aren't quite as popular, which could beef up its income even further." While I would love Clash of Clans to be iOS exclusive, I cannot ignore the fact that Android has a wide reach because it is available to a lot of mobile devices. This is a very welcome move because some persons I know love the game to be released on Android. It's also a way to increase our clan members to the persons that we know making it more fun to play the game.
You can download Clash of Clans on the Google Play Store and here are the instructions on how you can link iOS and Android so that you can play the game on both devices.
