Art Text 2 Lite

The need for this application took form because I'm looking for a watermarking tool. I share a lot of pictures online and I don't want any of them to be copied. I used to have an add-on in iPhoto for watermarking, Preview can also do this, but they're just too plain and not that appealing. I also don't have Photoshop yet installed on my Mac which can easily do this.

Art Text 2 Lite is a free version of Art Text 2 that I found in the Mac App Store. Actually the application is more of a logo making tool. When you launch the application, you can choose from the template gallery that you can work on. You don't have to start from scratch but there is also an option to design from blank.

After choosing from the gallery, you are ready to go. There are a lot of things you can do to edit your stuff. You can change colors, adjust the layout of your texts, you can add shapes and so forth. The tool is also layer based so you can add different kinds of texts, shapes and symbols on one project you are working on. You won't have a hard time using this. All the editing tools are displayed already. Even the layers at the bottom of the page are not that difficult to understand. Here are samples of what I've created using this software.

Me and my brother had a fun time creating logos with this application. It's great for your websites, projects at school or in my case with my pictures. I just copied the logo I've finished in Art Text, opened the picture in Preview then pasted my logo in it. Here is the result.

This application is highly recommended. You might want to try the Lite version first before getting the full version. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of great stuffs in the full version. This application brings out the creativity in you. Try it out now.
