Generating money for your blog

I'd like to thank everyone first who have visited and read my blog for the past 3 months. It's been a great experience so far, way better when I used to write for Multiply. I'm proud to say that all of my contents here are original and I hope you're having a great time reading too.

Now what started to be a hobby needs a new direction and twist. When I started this blog, I already thought of monetizing it. Of course it does not come automatically. I have to think of how to build my blog and generate contents for my viewers to read on. I need fresh contents so that my reader base will come back for more and check the site for stuffs and information. After posting contents one after another, I applied for Google AdSense but I'm still having difficulty getting approved. I've been doing some research and it seems that when you're not in the US, you'll have to wait some time before your application for Google AdSense gets approved. Non-US bloggers may need to wait 6 months before getting approved. Google requires some content on your blog site also. Your blog also need to have easy navigation. There are a lot of technicalities that you really need to have patience to have your Google AdSense approved. I might submit my application again next month.

So I looked for other options to posting ads on my blog. And today I've found an interesting blog advertising company that could satisfy my needs. I've seen their logo on some local blogs I've browsed and it's very easy getting ads from them. The name of the blog advertising company I'm referring to is Nuffnang. Creating an account is very easy and you get the ad codes already after creation. These ad codes need to be integrated on your blog so that the advertisements get displayed on the site. I still have to read some stuffs in Nuffnang's site but I find the company's vision very promising so far.

I also was able to find an interesting book on monetizing your blog -- How to Make Money with Your Blog by Duanne Forrester and Gavin Powell. Although this is an old book it's contents are still very useful for blogging in present time.
