I've been looking around and checking PhilMUG for a nice case for my iPad mini. I already have a criteria in mind for a nice case since I owned a couple of iOS devices already -- a 2nd generation iPod Touch and iPhone 4S. As I was strolling around last night, I passed by a gadget store with a good amount of cases inside when I saw this nice case set from Capdase. I am not new to Capdase and they have created nice cases for Apple products. I then realized that my iPod Touch and iPhone 4S are protected by cases too from Capdase. What's nice with Capdase is that the cases I bought also include a pouch so its a 2-in-1 protection for your device.
The Soft Jacket Value Set just fits my criteria for a good case for my iPad mini. First, the case is made of silicone so it won't scratch the sides of your device. I learned this after using a couple of plastic cases for my iPhone 4S. It's also easier to fit and you won't have difficulty if you want to switch cases. Second, the silicone case just covers the back. I personally do not want any obstructions on the front of my device, a good screen protector should be fine in front. It also lessens bulk and retains the weight of the device. My iPad mini still looks simple. Finally, as mentioned, I like the 2-in-1 protection offered by Capdase by including a pouch in the set. The pouch provides additional protection for the iPad mini. I find the board at the middle a little obstructive though but it allows you to fit other small stuffs in the pouch as well without scratching your iPad mini. The pouch also has a simple design just like the silicone case.
All in all, I find this case a great buy to protect your iPad mini. My Macintosh and Me highly recommends it!
Check out these pictures and Capdase's site about the case here.
