In celebration of Philippine Independence, Google's search page has a doodle showing the Bayanihan spirit of the Filipinos. Independence Day is an annual national holiday in the Philippines observed on June 12 commemorating the Philippine Declaration of Independence from Spain on June 12, 1898 (Source: Wikipedia). We are celebrating the 116th anniversary of our freedom from Spanish colonial rule. To all the Filipinos everywhere, "Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino", Happy Independence!
