Yesterday, Google featured Maria Mitchell. Mitchell was an American astronomer who discovered a comet in 1847 by using a telescope. The comet was then named after her and became known as Miss Mitchell's Comet. Mitchell was the first American woman to work as a professional astronomer (Source: Wikipedia). Yesterday was Maria Mitchell's birthday so its just right to be featured on Google's Search page. Here are snapshots of the pages I've taken yesterday about Mitchell.
