My photography applications in the iPhone 4S

I have been taking a lot of pictures lately using only my iPhone 4S and I consider it my secondary camera after my Canon S95. But right after taking a picture, we would still want to edit the shot we took to enhance the photo, remove red eye or crop it. The Photos application in the latest iteration of iOS devices provides these basic editing features. You can check out my post here on the basic editing features in the iPhone 4S.

But aside from these, photography applications available in the iTunes store offer much more. Let me share some of the photography applications I use, some of which since my 2nd generation iPod Touch, which I have now copied to my iPhone 4S.

Adobe Photoshop Express (Free) - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 4.2 or later. I think this was the first photo editing application I downloaded in my iPod Touch.

Flickr (Free) - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 4.1 or later. I downloaded this application for checking my Flickr account.

Pocoyize (Free) - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 3.1.2 or later. Well this is not related to photo editing but if you want a change in your avatar to your social networking sites, check this out.

Instagram (Free) - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 3.1.2 or later. Do I need to say more? I was a late bloomer in using Instagram. I thought I can only share photos if I have a camera capable iOS device but realized I can also share stuffs saved on my 2nd generation iPod Touch. The best photo editing app in my opinion which started the wave of photo filtering apps in the iTunes store. Check out my review of Instagram here.

Snapseed ($4.99) - compatible with the iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), iPad and iPod Touch (3rd and 4th generation) running iOS 4.2 or later. I got this for free when it went on sale last year. A much capable photo editing app than Adobe's Photoshop Express.

Photo Effect Studio (Free for a limited time) - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 4.0 or later.

Luminance ($0.99) - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 4.0 or later.

360 Panorama ($0.99) - compatible with the iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), iPad 2 and iPod Touch (4th generation) running iOS 4.0 or later. I still have to try this application though.

Grid Lens ($0.99, 50% off at the moment) - compatible with the iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), iPad 2 and iPod Touch (4th generation) running iOS 4.3 or later. I really have fun using this application. Very cool!

Frametastic (Free for a limited time) - compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 4.0 or later.

Multi-lens Camera (Free for a limited time) - compatible with the iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), iPad 2 and iPod Touch (4th generation) running iOS 4.0 or later. Who said grid lines have to be vertical or horizontal?

Snappr ($1.99) compatible with the iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), iPad and iPod Touch (3rd and 4th generation) running iOS 4.0 or later. Care for some fish eye effect? This was a new application I downloaded yesterday and what's great was I got it for free.
